Walk through card-scan failures, deposit timeouts and locked-account recovery
When your Play+ prepaid card fails at an ATM or the app shows a zero balance you know isn't right, start by pulling the card fully out and reinserting it slowly—magnetic-strip readers reject cards inserted too fast. If the ATM still won't read it, switch to the chip slot or try a different machine; wear on the magnetic strip can render it
unreadable after dozens of swipes. Deposit holds usually last sixty to ninety seconds while the network confirms your bank routing, but if a pending tag lingers past five minutes open the Play+ app, tap the transaction row, and check whether verification is waiting on you—sometimes the system needs you to confirm your ZIP code or the last four digits of your Social
Security number before it releases the funds. For a forgotten PIN, the fastest path is the app's card-management screen: tap Reset PIN, answer your security question, and the new four-digit code arrives by text within thirty seconds. If you've locked the account after three wrong-PIN attempts, call the Play+ support line printed on the back of your card; they'll lift the lock
once they verify your date of birth and the card's activation date.
